Marilyn Waring is a feminist activist, a Professor of Public Policy and a former Director of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. Her book Counting for Nothing ( formerly published as If Women Counted ) is a feminist economics classic. She was elected to Parliament at the age of 23 where she chaired the Public Accounts and Expenditure Committee.
