Mathias Thaler is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Edinburgh. His main research area is contemporary political theory, with special interests in utopianism, the imagination and political violence. Thaler’s recent publications have appeared in a number of peer-reviewed journals. He is also the author of Moralische Politik oder politische Moral? Eine Analyse aktueller Debatten zur internationalen Gerechtigkeit (Campus, 2008), and co-editor (with Mihaela Mihai) of On The Uses and Abuses of Political Apologies (Palgrave 2014).
