May-Len Skilbrei is Professor in criminology at the University of Oslo, where she heads MIGMA. Skilbrei has done research on subjectivities in and policy developments on prostitution and human trafficking, sexual violence, irregular migration and return migration, with a particular interest for the balancing of protection and prosecution in trafficking policies, and on how prostitution, criminal justice and immigration policies together exacerbate vulnerabilities of migrant sex workers.
