Michael Tyrala is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Asian and International Studies at the City University of Hong Kong. His work lies at the intersection between international relations, political economy, and political philosophy. In his research he focuses on the ‘offshore‘ economy, its role in the history of the capitalist system in general, and its contemporary neoliberal turn in particular.
