mónica enríquez-enríquez was born and raised in Colombia, migrated to the U.S. in 2001 and is currently based in New York. She has an M.F.A in Digital Arts and New Media from the University of California Santa Cruz, is currently a Program Officer at Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice and believes art is a site for community activism and a place to question normative constructions of gender, desire and nation.
