Mulki Al-Sharmani is an anthropologist and acted as coordinator of the Global Life Stories Project as part of the collaborative research work she has been doing since 2013 under a  5 year Academy of Finland research fellowship ‘Islamic Feminism: Tradition, Authority, and Hermeneutics’ at the Faculty of Theology, University of Helsinki, Finland.
