Nikolaus von Twickel is a freelance journalist based in Berlin. He served in the OSCE Mission as a media liaison officer in Donetsk 2015/16 and writes about events in the self-declared “people’s republics” of eastern Ukraine. He has also written about Georgia and the Caucasus region since the 1990s.
