Özge Genç is research director of the Centre for Public Policy and Democracy Studies (PODEM) in Istanbul. She previously worked as the director of the democratisation programme at TESEV. Her research and advocacy areas include the peace process, police reform, judicial and constitutional reform as well as religion-state-society relations in Turkey
