Dr. Rachel Ibreck is a Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at Goldsmiths, University of London. Her research interests include human rights and legal activism in atrocity, conflict and displacement settings in Africa. She has published in academic journals including The Journal of Intervention and Statebuilding, The Journal of Civil Society, and African Affairs. She is author of South Sudan’s Injustice System: Law and Activism on the Frontline (Zed Books, 2019). She is co-investigator on the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paulo research project: Traces of Mobility, Violence and Solidarity: Reconceptualizing cultural heritage through the lens of migration.
