Raúl Zecca Castel is a doctoral student in Cultural and Social Anthropology at the University of Milan-Bicocca. His research investigates the consequences of migration and colonial and slave history on human rights and labour in Latin America and the Caribbean, particularly on the island of Hispaniola. He is the author of the book and documentary “Come schiavi in libertà”, Arcoiris, Salerno, 2015.
