Rebecca Surtees is an anthropologist and senior researcher at NEXUS Institute, a policy and research centre based in Washington, DC. Recent research projects include a longitudinal study of reintegration of trafficking victims in Indonesia; a study of reintegration of trafficking victims in the Mekong region; research on the exploitation and trafficking of fishers; studies on victim identification in Indonesia and the Balkans; and research into human trafficking amongst migrants and refugees along the Balkan route.
