Robert Chenciner is a writer and commentator who has been a senior member of St. Antony's College, Oxford since 1987. He specialises in ethnography and material culture in the Caucasus, Russia, Albania and Mongolia and is the author of several books, including Dagestan: Tradition and Survival (Palgrave Macmillan, Caucasus World Series, 1997).
