Samantha Wood McCourt is a postgraduate student in the Social Justice and Community Action programme at The University of Edinburgh. After receiving her degree in sociology and a certificate in palliative care, she became interested in exploring death and dying from a social justice perspective. Her previous work focused on advancing women's reproductive rights and ending violence against women in Canada. She tweets @saucywithatwist.
