Sara Al Helali is a Gaziantep-based researcher for the 'Southern Responses to Displacement' project at University College London. She received her Master’s from the French National School of Public Health (EHESP), where she developed an interest in qualitative research on migration and displacement in the Syrian context, since she was displaced by the Syrian war herself. Sara has been working in the humanitarian field for the past nine years.
