Silvia D’Amato is Assistant Professor at the Institute of Global and Security Affairs at Leiden University in The Hague. She has previously worked at the European University Institute as Max Weber Fellow and at the University of Florence within the project REPOND. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the Scuola Normale Superiore in Florence and her research interests include, terrorism and counterterrorism, European and international politics and civil wars and military interventions.
