Dr. Svati P. Shah is an Associate Professor Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her research interests are wide, including political economy of sexuality, migration, and urbanization in India. Her first book, Street Corner Secrets: Sex, Work and Migration in the City of Mumbai was published in August 2014 by Duke University Press.
