Trisha Dunleavy, an Associate Professor in Media Studies at Victoria University of Wellington, was one of the academic authors of the ‘Open Letter on Public Broadcasting’ cited in this article and an active member of the ‘Save TVNZ7’ campaign. Her research specialises in television and she has published two books, along with a number of essays and book chapters, on New Zealand television.
