Woden Teachout is an historian and cultural critic interested in the relationship between history, politics, and civic engagement. She holds a Ph.D. in the history of American civilization from Harvard University, and is currently a professor of graduate studies at Union Institute and University. Teachout is the author of the critically acclaimed Capture the Flag, and (with Susan Clark) Slow Democracy.
