Zaki Samy Mohamed Elakawi is Lecturer in Security and International Relations in the Middle East at Complutense University of Madrid. He holds a PhD in International Relations from the Faculty of Political Sciences and Sociology at the Complutense University of Madrid and Diploma in Security and Peace Operations by the United Nations. He is the Coordinator of International Observatory of Arab and Muslim World (OIMAM). His research focuses on security, conflict and international relations in the Middle East, national security and strategic issues
