Zbigniew Wojnowski specialises in the history of Ukraine and the USSR. He is the author of The Near Abroad: Socialist Eastern Europe and Soviet Patriotism in Ukraine, 1956-1985 which was published by the University of Toronto Press in 2017. He is currently working on the history of popular music and perestroika in the USSR.
