Do the Arts and Humanities matter? This was the question put to a group of leading researchers from universities across the UK at a Cambridge conference last month called "The Arts and Humanities: Endangered Species?". In light of the Higher Education reforms, each of the speakers was asked to give a seven minute talk on the cultural and social benefits these subjects bring.
