***Islamophobia, the Media and Echoes of 9/11***

As time passes, stories are abound to change and take on different meanings. Looking back to 9/11 and taking stock of where we are today, this discussion will explore Islamophobia, media rhetoric and how we remember 9/11\. Writer, sociologist and communications scholar Todd Gitlin, Granta 116 poet and law professor Lawrence Joseph and civil rights attorney and author of *Patriot Acts: Narratives of Post-9/11 Injustice* Alia Malek will join *Granta* magazine editor John Freeman to explore this topic.
