# Greenspan says Iraq is about oil!

According to today's London [Telegraph](http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/09/15/wgreenspan115.xml&ref=opendemocracy.net) Alan Greenspan the famously long-serving head of the Federal Reserve has said in his memoir, “I am saddened that it is politically inconvenient to acknowledge what everyone knows: the Iraq war is largely about oil”. Could he have been reading Paul Rogers?
