**Anthony Barnett (London,** [**OK**](http://ourkingdom.opendemocracy.net/?ref=opendemocracy.net)**):** There are some most embarrassing appreciations of me over on the [OurKingdom's mothership](http://www.opendemocracy.net/article/globalisation/visions%5Freflections/happy%5Fbirthday%5Fanthony%5Fbarnett). At the recent Goldsmiths conference on the [future of the news](http://ourkingdom.opendemocracy.net/2007/11/24/goldsmiths-debate-the-future-of-the-news/?ref=opendemocracy.net), Guido Fawks commented to a questioner that political blog readers "are old", their average age being 44\. I thought to myself "I think that is young". It wasn't the only thing I didn't agree with him about... The rest is for another time. Thanks everyone!
