Haven’t finished your Christmas shopping? Been a little busy this year trying to save the NHS? We know the feeling...

Worry not - we’ve collected together the best NHS-themed Christmas presents money can buy.

Not only do these presents show your support for the NHS, many of them raise money for good causes too. Most of these should (just about) arrive in time for Christmas if you order today, though you might want to call to double check if that's essential.

Made by Young People has a fantastic range of ‘Born in the NHS’ t-shirts, hoodies, mugs, cotton shopper bags and (cute!) baby suits, all priced from £4-30. Check delivery times or you can collect if you’re in the Birmingham area.

Keep Our NHS Public has classy ‘Proud of our NHS’ pins (£2.50 or 10 for £15), t-shirts for £11, and lovely Christmas cards - £4.70 for 20 if you collect from their Islington offices.

The Nye Bevan Foundation has some rather nice posters with quotes by the NHS founders (£6 for 3), as well as Nye Bevan badges (£1) and his seminal book on the founding of the NHS, ‘In Place of Fear’ (£11).

Fancy a film? Michael Moore’s ‘Sicko’ about the American healthcare system is by turns tragic and hilarious. Or how about Ken  Loach’s moving ‘Spirit of ‘45’, about the founding of the NHS and the welfare state?

Buying for booklovers? NHS SOS topped the bestseller lists earlier this year with profits going to Keep Our NHS Public. It’s the story of how the NHS was betrayed - and how we can save it. Or how about the lively, readable and infuriating Plot Against the NHS, by Colin Leys and Stewart Player. Or Allyson Pollock’s definitive ‘NHS Plc’, or Stuckler and Basu’s moving ‘The Body Economic’, about the impact of austerity on health (reviewed here on OurNHS).

(Whilst OurNHS likes to buy our books from independent booksellers where possible we do note that Amazon stocks all the above DVDs and books and guarantees Christmas delivery for a few days yet!)

And finally two gifts that don’t need any worries about postage -

The beautiful ‘Bridge over NHS’ by the Lewisham NHS Choir - currently 4th favourite for Christmas number 1! Buy the download here.

And if you can, why not spare a few pounds for OurNHS itself - either for yourself or on behalf of a loved one. We’ve had a great 2013 (stand by for our end of year review coming soon) but we rely on reader donations to keep our journalism and campaigning going in 2014!

Season's greetings to you all!
