"*‘Al que nace pa’ martillo . . .’* presents eight new sculptures by Milton Rosa Ortiz that provide a thoughtful meditation on the current state of contemporary Puerto Rican society. The exhibition title and the individual titles of each work are based on popular expressions or colloquialisms that in the artist’s opinion have supplanted oral histories as a primary source for passing on wisdom from one generation to the next."
