# Radical? Don't make me laugh

I've just [blogged on Cif](http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2009/jun/11/tom-watson-electoral-reform-labour?commentpage=1&ref=opendemocracy.net) my response to Tom Watson MP's sudden [Damascene conversion](http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2009/jun/10/democracy-electoral-reform-mps?ref=opendemocracy.net) to electoral reform (of the [unproportional AV kind](https://www.opendemocracy.net/blog/ourkingdom-theme/stuart-weir/2009/06/09/brown-and-the-av-stitch-up)), which, by wonderful coincidence, has happened at the same time his leader, Gordon Brown, has converted and not long before his party faces a thrashing in the polls. We deserve better than this!
