Jane Gabriel and I are in Brighton to attend the [Pathways of women's empowerment](http://www.pathwaysofempowerment.org/?ref=opendemocracy.net) conference titled "Reclaiming feminism(s): gender and neo-liberalism". There's a lot of talk on the ongoing "NGOisation" of feminist issues, the immense void that buzzwords such as "development", "country ownership", "civil society" or "gender issues" create and the need to ackowledge the existence of many types of feminisms.
