Dr Emma L Briant is a Senior Lecturer from the University of Essex. She is presently working on a new book “What’s wrong with the Democrats? Media bias, inequality and the rise of Donald Trump” with Robert M Entman. Her last book was ‘Propaganda and Counter-terrorism: Strategy for Global Change’ (Manchester University Press, 2015). Dr Briant is also on the editorial board of Defence Strategic Communication, a journal of NATO StratCom COE, Steve Tatham is a former editor of the journal and its present editor is Neville Bolt.
