Rosa Kornfeld-Matte was appointed by the Human Rights Council as the first United Nations Independent Expert on the enjoyment of all human rights by older persons in May 2014. Ms. Kornfeld-Matte served as the National Director of the Chilean National Service of Ageing where she designed and implemented the National Policy of Ageing.

Rosa Kornfeld-Matte fue designada por el Consejo de Derechos Humanos como la primera Experta Independiente sobre el disfrute de todos los derechos humanos por las personas de edad en mayo de 2014. La Sra. Kornfeld-Matte fue la Directora Nacional del Servicio Nacional del Adulto Mayor en Chile donde diseñó e implementó la Política Nacional para el Adulto Mayor.
