Mélanie Jacquemin is a research fellow in sociology at the French Institute of Research for Development (IRD, France). Over the past 20 years, her research has focused on working children in West African cities, exploring the intersecting links between mobility patterns, gender and kinship relations, and the relationship between school, education and work.
