Cowards to the core
Petty minded
Toothless bull dogs
Schemers
Braggers
Enveloped in sick dreams
Dressed in inferiority complex

Thrive on teasing and threats
Weave conflicts to survive
Armed with verbal and physical abuse
Vampires that suck your shadow and confidence

About the author

Virginia Phiri was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in 1954. She is an Accountant by profession, writes both fiction and non-fiction and is also an African Orchid expert. She has published three books of poetry, Desperate (2002), Destiny (2006) and Highway Queen (2010) and is currently working on a fourth entitled Grey Angels.
