It occurs to me that Obama has at least been able to demonstrate the extent of corporate power over the state by the method he uses to develop the US health care model. By throwing the question to the legislature, some light has been shed on the power of corporations over that institution. Sadly, it seems government is no longer able to act as a counterweight to the authority of big money.
