Stephen Shapiro

Stephen Shapiro is Professor in the Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies at the University of Warwick. He is author of several books and editions on the early American Republic. More recent work has been How to Read Marx’s Capital (2008) and The Wire: Race, Class, and Genre (2012). With Philip Barnard, he is completing a critical translation of The Productive Body by Guerry and Deleule (Zero Books).
