About Meltem Ineli-Ciger

Meltem Ineli-Ciger is an Assistant Professor at the Suleyman Demirel University, Faculty of Law. She holds an LLM in international law and a PhD degree from University of Bristol. She co-edited the book Seeking Asylum in the European Union (Martinus Nijhoff/Brill 2015) and worked as a legal expert for the European Commission Study on the Temporary Protection Directive. She has a number of publications on temporary protection, Turkish asylum law, protection of persons fleeing armed conflict in international law and burden sharing. Her current research examines Syrian displacement and EU-Turkey cooperation in the field of migration.
