It's official - Rafsanjani is running

English language newspaper, Iran Daily, published in Tehran reports the not so surprising news!

"Former President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani on Tuesday announced his decision to run for president. In a message faxed to the print media, Rafsanjani said when his eight-year term in office ended, he did not expect conditions whereby he would be obliged to run for another term"
