Rachel Friendman has an excellent article on NRO regarding the referendum movement in Iran. Except for Eli Lake at New York Sun, very few Western media have paid attention to the Iranian referendum movement. Some call it a utopian dream but this may be the only non-violent strategy to win back the country. It's ironic that liberal organizations and liberal governments around the world claim to be anti-war and talk about non-violent struggle but have not yet supported the Iranian referendum movement aggressively. Well, here is their chance!
