I always look at David McDuff’s blog, “A Step at a Time”. David is a translator of some distinction, having translated inter alia some of the major Russian classics for Penguin.
I happen to be interested in many of the topics on this blog, and have considerable respect for the (essentially liberal) positions it takes on most issues, in particular with regard to Russian affairs. Because David translates himself many of the items posted, the blog contains reports or commentary that cannot be found elsewhere.
I commend this blog to your readers who are interested in Eastern Europe in particular.
