Sorry, I know overt alliteration is for demented 15 year old’s who have discovered ‘poetry’, but I’m quite excited. Rolling Stone has run a piece speculating, yes speculating, that Al Gore maybe could just run for President. It follows a line of reasoning I’ve used myself in more happy, overly speculative moments. The ‘Stone notes Nixon’s success in being elected 8 years after he was robbed of the Presidency in 1960. It also highlights how Gore has accidentally on purpose become something of a Hollywood celebrity, which actually works better than sticking around in the senate and quietly contradicting yourself or taking no strong position on anything.
Hmmmm – well all I can say is draft Gore, your planet needs you…
