i-Tox, i-Waste and all the bad apples

"I love my Mac. I just wish it came in green".

Greenpeace's new campaign lets go of any anger, adopting a mild flattering tone towards Apple - before pointing out their questionnable green-ethic : "It's not about bruising Apple's image, Apple should be an environmental leader". Surely they are criticising them out of love...

We love Apple. Apple knows more about "clean" design than anybody, right? So why do Macs, iPods, iBooks and the rest of their product range contain hazardous substances that other companies have agreed to abandon? A cutting edge company shouldn't be cutting lives short by exposing children in China and India to dangerous chemicals. That's why we Apple fans need to demand a new, cool product: a greener Apple.Picture via magodeoz's flickR page.
