Microsoft's not-so-discreet edits

It looks like Microsoft has recently approached a blogger to edit Wikipedia entries. Said blogger blogged the offer on his page, citing Micorosft who apparently offered to pay him to post information on the online encyclopedia "correct" what Microsoft claims is erroneous information about software standards. Representatives of companies who write and editentries about their own business is a course a behaviour in complete contradiction with Wikipedia's conflict of interest guideline. How to fix the problem? A contributor at metafilter.com came up with an interesting solution.
