I'm watching the election by myself on CNN. Democrats just won the House. And the South Dakota abortion ban has been defeated! While we wait for the final votes to come in, I’ll let you in on some the secrets that have been beeping into my email inbox tonight.
MoveOn (again) is offering a $250,000 reward for any new material evidence leading to a felony conviction for an organized effort of partisan voter suppression or electronic voting fraud (does it count if you’re the one who did it?). Check their site: protectourvotes.org
Working Assets say election ID laws were being enforced improperly all over America.
In South Carolina the Governor had to leave and come back with proper ID. In Missouri, the Secretary of State -- the chief election officer -- was wrongly asked three times to produce photo identification even though that state's photo ID requirement was recently struck down in court.
The Center for Immigration Studies daily news email has links to articles about increases in Hispanic voter registration. Colorado, for instance, has seen a jump of 38%. Iowa also reports significant increases.
