The buzz, the buzz!!! All weekend the hype has been building around Barack Obama. Largely because he went to New Hampshire, home of the first presidential primary. What could this mean? (Cue orchestral ‘duh-duh-duh’).
- Slate follows him, and follows him good, checking his garbage, recording how many mills of hot New Hampshire coffee he left in a cup, and reading other auspicious runes, signs, and the like. Just managing to stay short of comparing him to Jesus…
- Kos admirably sticks to the issues, also highlighting that Obama has done the necessary in re-affirming the bizarre importance of New Hampshire in the American electoral process.
- Newsweek refrains from jumping the gun with it’s oh so subtle boxing metaphors and utterly neutral graphics.
- Meanwhile salon notes how, maybe just maybe in response to Obama’s manoeuvring, Hillary Clinton will not announce anything about anything till next year.
- Its slightly more gloomy at the huffpost – with prediction of the mother of all smear campaigns to defeat ‘Balak HUSSEIN Osama’ –it was good while it lasted… sigh.
- That said the right have serious things to worry about like ‘flying imams’.
