
Darya Tsymbalyuk is a zero-hours tutor at the University of St Andrews. Her PhD dissertation from 2021 was entitled 'Multispecies ruptures: stories of displacement and human-plant relations from Donbas, Ukraine'. Together with Julia Filipieva and Victor she is the author of 'Donbas Odyssey' art project dedicated to the memories of people displaced by the war; together with Kateryna Vonznytsia, Yulia Serdyukova, Victor Zasypkin, and others she has been working on an animation film 'Displaced garden' dedicated to people and plants displaced by the war; and together with Victoria Donovan she is an author of a book 'Limits of collaboration: arts, ethics and Donbas', forthcoming in 2022.
