Gülay Türkmen-Dervişoğlu is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Goettingen’s Forum for Interdisciplinary Religious Studies. She received her PhD in sociology from Yale University in 2016. Her work has appeared in Nations and Nationalism and the Annual Review of Sociology, as well as on Jadaliyya, openDemocracy, The European, and Policy Trajectories.
