Levan is a non-binary LGBTQI feminist activist from Georgia in the South Caucasus. He was an executive director at Equality Movement, Georgia’s largest and most influential LGBTQI rights group. He has been organising the first LGBTQI rights rallies in Georgian since 2012. He also founded Horoom, the country's first club nights for the LGBTIQ community and their allies, which helped to build an independent, non-formal and non-hierarchical queer community.
