Mavuto Banda is a PhD candidate in human geography at the University of Hull, where his research focuses on the consequences of humanitarian child labour bans on the lived experiences of children and their families in tea and tobacco growing communities in Malawi. He has over 12 years of experience working in community development. He holds an MA in Global Development and Social Justice from St. John’s University (New York) and a BSc in Natural Resources Management from Bunda College, University of Malawi.
