Mihai Varga (PhD University of Amsterdam 2011), D.Rad Principal Investigator, works as a senior lecturer at the Institute for East European Studies of the Freie Universität Berlin. His research broadly deals with the opposition to political and economic liberalism, and addresses nationalism, far-right subcultures, and right-wing conservative intellectuals. His work has appeared in journals such as Nations and Nationalism, Nationalities Papers, New Political Economy, and Geopolitics. He is the co-editor, together with Katharina Bluhm, of New Conservatives in Russia and East-Central Europe (London: Routledge, 2018).
