He is a contributor to major Polish media, including Tygodnik Powszechny, Gazeta Wyborcza, Krytyka Polityczna, and New Eastern Europe, and is a freelance contributor to Polish radio. Currently based in Syria, Pieniążek spent over two years reporting on the war in eastern Ukraine, and is the author of Greetings from Novorossiya.
