The Club de Madrid hosted the International Summit on Democracy, Terrorism and Security in Madrid in March 2005, the largest ever gathering of terrorism and security experts. The conference’s final document – agreed unanimously by the members of the Club – outlined what many believed to be a new consensus in the fight against terrorism.
